Hi there! ⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪
I'm Adeline Ly, a senior studying Information Systems and Marketing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
As a first-generation college student, I often found myself taking on responsibilities at home that many of my peers didn’t have to think about. I managed online transactions, filled out paperwork, handled communications, and troubleshooted any technical issues that came up. I still remember being 10 years old, wondering why my mom needed help taking photos and sending them to her contacts—something that felt so intuitive to me. Over time, I realized this wasn’t just about understanding technology, but about accessibility and inclusivity in design. That experience opened my eyes to the disparities in user experiences across generations and inspired my passion for creating designs that bridge those gaps.
I’m drawn to the field because of its endless opportunities to improve experiences and solve real-world problems through purposeful design. I love creating with meaning and intent—crafting solutions that foster accessibility, connection, and enjoyable human experiences for all users.
CREATIVE
Dipping my toes in 3D art
I'm dabbling in 3D art, as you may have noticed from the little 3D graphics spread around! I've created some very unique (horrendous) 3D sculptures…. but this is definitely a creative outlet I've had fun exploring :)
FUN
Outside of Design
I love to game, travel, hang out with friends, and watch Ghibli movies!
